Softball Recap: Gray Stone Day Comes Up Short

Gray Stone Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Union Academy Cardinals, falling 10-0. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Gray Stone Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lindsey Stirewalt, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Gray Stone Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Union Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Gray Stone Day wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 19-2 victory against North Hills Christian on the 27th. As for Union Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-5 win against Marvin Ridge on the 26th.
