Preview: Capital City Cavaliers vs. Helias Crusaders
The Capital City Cavaliers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Helias Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th. Capital City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Helias is ranked 38th).
Last Tuesday, Capital City ended up a good deal behind Jefferson City and lost 57-40.
Meanwhile, Helias came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 52-43 win over Tipton.
Capital City has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Helias, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
Capital City took a serious blow against Helias when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 59-31. Can Capital City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
