Baseball Recap: Smyrna Comes Up Short

Smyrna lost against Oakland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Smyrna's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Oakland, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smyrna will take on Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Oakland, they will face off against Stewarts Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
