Basketball Recap: Doniphan Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Doniphan put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Fredericktown Black Cats 63-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dons also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Several Black Cats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Pj Reutzel, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Charis Moss, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 14 points.

Doniphan's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Fredericktown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Doniphan will venture away from home to square off against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fredericktown, they will welcome St. Vincent at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
