Softball Recap: Texas Tigers vs. Marshall Mavericks        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Texas gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Friday. They blew past the Marshall Mavericks 14-2. The  win was nothing new for Texas as they're now sitting on four straight.
  Eva Treadway spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits.
 At the plate,  Mollie Fisher was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and a  triple. She is on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as she's  now  launched  at least one in the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Mally Lumpkin, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 On Marshall's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madison Crawford, who  went 2-for-2 with a  double and  an  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karleigh Robinson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Texas pushed their record up to 19-10-1 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs per game. As for Marshall, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-14.
 Texas will head out on the road to  square off against  Whitehouse at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Whitehouse will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Texas surely won't give up without a fight.
