Beecher's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Oak Forest Bengals a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Bobcats have won 19 matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Makenzie Johnson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Ava Olson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Beecher's victory bumped their record up to 29-2. As for Oak Forest, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beecher will venture away from home to face off against Lemont at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lemont HS will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Forest, they are taking a road trip to take on Shepard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Astros' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Bengals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
