Baseball Recap: Omaha Northwest Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Omaha Northwest's offense. They came up short against the Bellevue East Chieftains on Friday, falling 14-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Chieftains: they've now lost five in a row.

Omaha Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justyse Masters, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Omaha Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bellevue East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Omaha Northwest and Bellevue East will both be playing Lincoln Northwest the next time they take the field. The Chieftains will head out to face the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
