Mira Costa waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the El Segundo Eagles 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Mira Costa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Shelor, who had eight digs and four aces. What's more, Shelor posted two assists, the most she's had over her last six contests. Another player making a difference was Reese Stringer, who had 12 assists and eight digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Mira Costa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Mira Costa's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for El Segundo, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.
