Soccer Recap: Providence Grove's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Providence Grove had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Wheatmore Warriors by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Providence Grove also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

They hit Wheatmore with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rylee Stover, Anna Winstead, and Taryn Waugh.

Providence Grove's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Wheatmore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Providence Grove wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Eastern Randolph on the 3rd. As for Wheatmore, they are taking a road trip to take on Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
