Baseball Recap: Mohawk Area Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mohawk Area walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Deer Lakes Lancers on Tuesday.

Mohawk Area is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Deer Lakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Coming up, Mohawk Area will head out on the road to take on Ellwood City on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverine have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. Deer Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
