Soccer Game Preview: Logan vs. Orem

The Logan Grizzlies will head out on the road to challenge the Orem Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Logan lost 9-1 to Alta on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Grizzlies were already down 5-1.

Meanwhile, while the 4-4 score might suggest a draw, it was Murray who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Murray got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to Orem's five.

Orem hit Murray with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landon Michaelis, Weston Warnick, Jared Anderson, and Cody Anderson.

Orem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Logan skirted past Orem 2-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Logan since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
