Basketball Recap: DuPont Takes a Loss

DuPont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newark Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 52-47 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

DuPont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Newark, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10.

DuPont and Newark could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Delaware Rankings. DuPont will take on Conrad Science at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 41 places (50 vs. 9). Meanwhile, Newark (ranked 44th) will meet William Penn (ranked sixth) at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
