Basketball Recap: Baird Takes a Loss

Baird was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 52-26 to the Gordon Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 992nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 466th).

Baird's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Gordon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Baird does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gordon, they will host Ranger at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gordon is facing Ranger at the right time seeing as Ranger is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
