Basketball Game Preview: Randolph County Tigers vs. Handley Tigers

Randolph County hasn't had much luck against Handley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Randolph County Tigers will welcome the Handley Tigers at 4:30 p.m.

Randolph County easily dispatched Wellborn on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Randolph County fell just short of Saks by a score of 47-45 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Wildcats are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Handley). They took down Talladega 54-39 on Tuesday. Handley pushed the score to 43-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Talladega cut but never quite recovered from.

Handley's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Randolph County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
