Volleyball Recap: Kit Carson Comes Up Short

Kit Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Eads Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kit Carson was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-23.

Shay Rady paced Kit Carson's offense, picking up eight kills. Rady got some help from Avery Johnson and her seven assists. Rady was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Kit Carson's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Eads, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Kit Carson will square off against Otis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eads, after both having extra time off, they and Kim/Branson will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th.
