Basketball Recap: Wellsville-Middletown Takes a Loss

Wellsville-Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 53-32 to the Marion County Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Mustangs are ranked 139th).

Wellsville-Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Marion County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Wellsville-Middletown will head out to take on Mark Twain at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Marion County has already played their next matchup (against Bucklin-Macon County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
