Volleyball Recap: Bridgeport Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bridgeport duked it out with Alma on Wednesday. The Bearcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Alma, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4-1 record this season.

Bridgeport will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on October 1. As for Alma, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against North Muskegon on the 18th.
