After losing to Veritas School the last time they met, St. Anne's-Belfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Saints' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering St. Anne's-Belfield have won four matches by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Anne's-Belfield and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Veritas School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3-1.

Looking ahead, St. Anne's-Belfield will face off against Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Collegiate will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Anne's-Belfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Veritas School, they will host Grove Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Veritas School have won three straight at home, while Grove Christian School won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
