Case dropped their record down to 14-5 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Norton Lancers by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Cardinals were not able to get on the board.

Lila Alvarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

As for Norton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

On Norton's side, not much got past Liana Danubio, who gave up just four hits to keep Case off the board.
