It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Providence had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Christian Academy Warriors a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Providence, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Christian Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kamden Pierce (3), Livy Theobald (2), and Cooper Stiefvater.

The victory was the third in a row for Providence, bringing their record up to 11-3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those three matchups. As for Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-4.

Looking ahead, Providence will take on Shawe Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Providence's defense better be ready for this one: Shawe Memorial have averaged an impressive 3.8 goals per game this season. Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
