Basketball Recap: West Salem Takes a Loss

If West Salem was riding high fresh off their 77-43 takedown of McNary last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Salem Titans fell just short of the South Salem Saxons by a score of 51-49 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since December 17, 2024.

West Salem's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-10. As for South Salem, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Coming up, West Salem will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sprague at 6:30 p.m. As for South Salem, they will venture away from home to challenge McNary at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Salem is facing McNary at the right time seeing as McNary is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
