Basketball Recap: Carmel Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Carmel Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-56 victory over the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.

Carmel Christian had a senior duo take command as Logan Johnson shot 75% from the field to rack up 16 points and three steals and Noah Noch went 7-for-8 on his way to 14 points and three blocks. Johnson's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jesh Gutierrez, who posted 12 points.

Forest Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amari Melton, who shot 50% from the field en route to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Blakeney, who earned four points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Carmel Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Forest Hills, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Carmel Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-53 defeat against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee on the 5th. As for Forest Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 82-75 victory against Central on the 2nd.
