Academy for Academic Excellence had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lucerne Valley Mustangs on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.

Academy for Academic Excellence walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Brin Bryant paced Academy for Academic Excellence's offense, picking up seven kills. Bryant got some help from Colbie Tworek and her nine assists. Tworek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Academy for Academic Excellence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Norton Science & Language Academy on the 14th. As for Lucerne Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Trona on the 14th.
