Lamar and St. Mary are an even 4-4-1 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long. The Thunder will welcome the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully St. Mary's likes a good challenge.

Lamar is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Fountain Valley with a sharp 9-2 victory on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's fell victim to Banning Lewis Academy and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Stallions.

Lamar has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six matches. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Lamar beat St. Mary's 4-2 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
