Cocoa Beach took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Minutemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cocoa Beach had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 26-24, 25-21, 26-24.

Calvary Chapel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cocoa Beach will welcome West Shore at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they will host Morningside Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
