Basketball Game Preview: Minisink Valley Warriors vs. Warwick Wildcats

Minisink Valley hasn't had much luck against Warwick recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Minisink Valley Warriors will take on the Warwick Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Minisink Valley came up short against Valley Central and fell 52-45. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 751st, while the Vikings are ranked 271st).

Meanwhile, Warwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Washingtonville.

This is the second loss in a row for Minisink Valley and nudges their season record down to 1-12. As for Warwick, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Minisink Valley suffered a grim 57-35 defeat to Warwick in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Minisink Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
