Baseball Recap: Northside Wins Going Away Against Farmington

Northside won against Mena last Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Northside Grizzlies' way against the Farmington Cardinals as the Northside Grizzlies made off with a 9-3 victory. For the Grizzlies, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.

The victory made it two in a row for Northside and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Farmington, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will take on Elkins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Farmington, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Huntsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
