Softball Recap: Timpanogos Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Timpanogos's offense. They fell just short of the Grantsville Cowboys by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Timberwolves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Timpanogos' loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Grantsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Timpanogos wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-1 win against Provo on the 28th. As for Grantsville, they will head out to face off against Bear River at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
