Baseball Recap: Howell North Takes a Loss

Howell North had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 11-9 to make it five. They lost 11-1 to the Troy-Buchanan Trojans. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

As for Troy-Buchanan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29th (when they won 16-3).

For Troy-Buchanan's part, they got a great performance from Lance Stuckey as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Stuckey a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Max Terbrock was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Twellman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Coincidentally, Howell North and Troy-Buchanan will both be playing Timberland the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the T-Wolves at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
