It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fort LeBoeuf had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hampton Talbots by a score of  6-3. The  win was familiar territory for the Bison, who have now won four  matches in a row.
 Kiernan Skelton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Mirabela Zaczyk was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. She is  on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as she's  now  launched  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lillian McKinney, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
Fort LeBoeuf pushed their record up to 19-3 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton, their defeat  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-7.
As of now, neither Fort LeBoeuf nor the Talbots have any future games scheduled.
