While Winchester Community put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Jay County. The Golden Falcons came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 4-0. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Falcons sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Winchester Community's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tre Weist, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Dravin Whitehead was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Winchester Community's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Jay County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winchester Community will host Tri at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.15 runs per game on average), something the Golden Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jay County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Delta at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
