Volleyball Recap: Prairie Ridge Wolves vs. Providence Catholic Celtics

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Prairie Ridge couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Providence Catholic Celtics by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Celtics apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Providence Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddie Johnson led the charge by getting eight digs and five aces. That's the most aces Johnson has posted since back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for Prairie Ridge and nudges their season record down to 32-9. As for Providence Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-7 record this season.
