Basketball Recap: St. Louis Catholic Comes Up Short

On Friday, the St. Louis Catholic Saints were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 67-61 to the Lacassine Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Cardinals are ranked 22nd).

St. Louis Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Lacassine, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

St. Louis Catholic will take on Rayne on Tuesday. As for Lacassine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
