Volleyball Recap: Scott City Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Scott City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the East Prairie Eagles on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Scott City's got stronger as the match went on, holding East Prairie to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-8.

Scott City's offense was headlined by Addisyn Hillemann and Clara Landis, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Miley Schwettman and her 32 assists. Hillemann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Scott City's win bumped their record up to 10-18-1. As for East Prairie, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-14-1.

Scott City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Meadow Heights on the 16th. As for East Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Sikeston on the 20th.
