Volleyball Recap: Carroll Gets the Win

Carroll's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Taylor Titans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 22-25, 25-11.

Elle Myers was nothing short of spectacular: she had ten digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Myers wasn't the only good servers: Carroll was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's a new trend for the Cougars: they were averaging 2.8 aces per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 8.6.

Carroll's record is now 3-18. As for Taylor, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-22.

When Carroll and Taylor next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Cougars will try to stop Eastern's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Taylor will square off against Western and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
