Softball Recap: Port Richmond Comes Up Short

Port Richmond fell victim to Wagner and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 18-0. The Raiders have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Port Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Wagner, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Richmond will challenge Curtis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wagner, they will head out to square off against New Dorp at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Central Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.3 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
