Clarion Area had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 31-point drubbing they dealt Clarion-Limestone on Wednesday. The Clarion Area Bobcats claimed a resounding 63-32 win over the Clarion-Limestone Lions. The victory was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Clarion Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Smail, who posted 14 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Derek Smail, who scored 13 points and six rebounds.

Dylan wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Clarion Area was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Clarion-Limestone's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Paul Craig, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points, and Jase Ferguson, who had ten points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Craig a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Reagan Parker also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Clarion Area's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points over those games. As for Clarion-Limestone, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Clarion Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-45 loss against Brookville on the 1st. As for Clarion-Limestone, they have also already played their next game, a 79-62 win against Allegheny-Clarion Valley on the 30th.
