Volleyball Recap: Point Loma Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Point Loma lost against Scripps Ranch back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pointers fell 3-1 to the Falcons.

Point Loma started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 28-26, 25-20, 25-14.

Caroline Tadder paced Point Loma's offense, picking up 13 kills. Tadder got some help from Caroline Petrie and her 18 assists. Grace Passman and Olivia Karvelis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Point Loma's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Scripps Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Point Loma will challenge Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Scripps Ranch, they will square off against Poway at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Titans have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
