Football Recap: Ronan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ronan extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They took a blow against the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries, falling 56-0. The Chiefs lost against the Vikings & Valkyries in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 41-26 score last time.

As for Bigfork, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 37 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bigfork to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tamret Savik, who picked up 40 receiving yards and three TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Savik a new career-high. Cole Schmit was another key signal caller, throwing for 61 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Ronan has already played their next game, a 48-8 loss against Polson on the 24th. As for Bigfork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-21 defeat against Whitefish on the 24th.
