Basketball Recap: Clarkson/Leigh Comes Up Short

Clarkson/Leigh lost against Bancroft-Rosalie back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots had to suffer through a 71-44 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Patriots were down 57-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Clarkson/Leigh still got an impressive performance from Kyle McMullin, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards. The game was McMullin's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Matthies, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Clarkson/Leigh's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clarkson/Leigh will face off against Battle Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bancroft-Rosalie will take on Walthill in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
