Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Cardinals vs. Wisconsin Dells Chiefs

The Columbus Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Columbus ended up a good deal behind Lodi and lost 62-47. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Dells humbled Wautoma with an 83-46 victory. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wisconsin Dells, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Columbus barely slipped by Wisconsin Dells in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 61-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbus since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
