Softball Recap: Coeur D'alene Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Six must be Coeur d'Alene's lucky number: they beat Lake Washington with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Vikings skirted past the Kangaroos 6-5. The win was just business as usual for the Vikings, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Savannah Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jenna Davenport, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Abbey Linder, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Coeur d'Alene hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Coeur d'Alene's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lake Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Coeur d'Alene will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Moscow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.6 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lake Washington, they are taking a road trip to face off against Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
