Football Recap: R-S Central Falls to Mcdowell in First Game of Season + How To Watch

R-S Central had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the McDowell Titans by a score of 24-21. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Rylan Holley threw for 138 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. Jakis Smith was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards and one TD.

McDowell can attribute much of their success to Danny Charles Brown, who rushed for 53 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 141 yards and one TD. Those 141 passing yards gave Charles Brown a new career-high.

Looking ahead, R-S Central will square off against North Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McDowell, they will face off against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
