Pinecrest Glades Academy came into Thursday's contest having lost 13 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Colonial Christian Patriots 69-48 on Thursday. The Dragons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Colonial Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kevin Gomez, who went 7 for 17 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance gave Gomez a new career-high in assists. Alexander Ovalle was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Pinecrest Glades Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Colonial Christian, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Pinecrest Glades Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colonial Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on First Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 11th.
