Soccer Recap: Grinnell Comes Up Short

Grinnell fell victim to East Buchanan and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Grinnell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while East Buchanan are ranked 30th).

Grinnell dropped their record down to 2-6-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for East Buchanan, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Grinnell wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-0 defeat against Independence on the 18th. As for East Buchanan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Solon on the 21st.
