Basketball Recap: Austin Mustangs vs. Milby Buffs
The Austin Mustangs won the last time they faced the Milby Buffs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Austin enjoyed a cozy 39-23 victory over the Buffs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Austin.
Despite the defeat, Milby saw an underclassman step up: Myah Guerra scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Austin's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-11. As for Milby, they dropped their record down to 8-21 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Austin will challenge the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Waltrip has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. Milby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
