Pine Prairie is a perfect 10-0 against Ville Platte since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Pine Prairie is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
Pine Prairie made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Buckeye, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Pine Prairie was the clear victor by a 12-3 margin over Buckeye on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Pine Prairie, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kynnedi Ware made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Sydney Fontenot was a standout: she scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Josie Vidrine, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple.
Pine Prairie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Ville Platte's offense. They came up short against Iota on Thursday, falling 20-0. Ville Platte has struggled against Iota recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Ville Platte saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Charlie, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Pine Prairie pushed their record up to 25-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Ville Platte, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
Ville Platte's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Pine Prairie has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Ville Platte, though, as they've been averaging only 2.3 strikeouts. Will Pine Prairie keep running through batters, or will the Bulldogs buck the trend?
