Cooper Hinton Goes Supernova in Greenfield-Central Win

Starting off the list is Greenfield-Central's Cooper Hinton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hinton made 16 total tackles (1.0 for loss). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards (149).

New Castle's probably not too fond of Hinton given he always seems to get the better of them. When Hinton last faced the Trojans back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack, made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended two passes.

Josh Ranes's big game helped extend New Palestine's winning streak to seven on Friday. Ranes was unstoppable, rushing for 235 yards while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

Ranes might have his next game, a road matchup with Mt. Vernon, circled on his calendar. Ranes rushed for 119 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries the last time he and the Marauders duked it out back in September.

Jacob Davis and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

New Palestine picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jacob Davis. Davis was unstoppable, throwing for 138 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 44 yards and two touchdowns.

This year, Davis has thrown 17 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 152.9 passing yards per game.

Jones Posts Huge Game in 42-14 Win

Pendleton Heights found a leader in Keaton Jones as the squad took down Shelbyville on Friday. Jones was dynamite, rushing for 124 yards and four touchdowns.

If history really does repeat itself, Jones might just drop another big game when he faces off against New Castle on Friday. Jones rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in September.

Cade Logston Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Cade Logston of New Castle. Logston made six total tackles and defended a pass. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 59 yards.

New Castle is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5. Logston and New Castle will venture away from home to challenge Pendleton Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
