Soccer Recap: Waunakee Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Waunakee has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 3-0 to the DeForest Norskies on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Waunakee came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while DeForest are ranked 66th).

Waunakee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-3. As for DeForest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waunakee will welcome Muskego at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th. Muskego will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Waunakee surely won't give up without a fight. As for DeForest, they will face off against McFarland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
