Basketball Game Preview: Antelope Titans vs. Destiny Christian Academy Lions

Two dominant guards in Malichai Brown and Jaylen Valdez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Antelope Titans will face off against the Destiny Christian Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Antelope is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Atwater 74-44. With the Titans ahead 43-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Destiny Christian Academy entered their tilt with Tracy on Wednesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 83-52 victory over the Bulldogs. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Destiny Christian Academy pushed their record up to 18-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.8 points over those games. As for Antelope, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-9.

Antelope couldn't quite finish off Destiny Christian Academy in their previous meeting last Wednesday and fell 57-54. Can Antelope avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
